The Bucs have home field advantage this Sunday as Super Bowl LV comes to Tampa Bay. With the Tampa Bay area known for it’s beautiful beaches, it seemed only fitting to create a twist on the classic Sex on the Beach cocktail to serve as our Tampa Bay Bucs game day drink. The Super Bowl On The Bay mixes local vodka from Tampa Bay with peach schnapps, orange juice, cranberry juice and a splash of lemon juice to create the ultimate super bowl cocktail. Help support local Florida and enjoy cheering on the Tampa Bay Buccaneers by drinking the Super Bowl On The Bay. Cheers and go Bucs!
What Ingredients Do I Need For This Tampa Bay Bucs Super Bowl Cocktail?
The Alcohol
This is a Tampa Bay Bucs themed cocktail, so you need to use local Florida vodka, the closer it is made to Raymond James Stadium the better! Florida distilleries are making some fantastic vodka, and luckily some of the best are from the Tampa Bay region. Below are our favorite vodkas from Tampa and the surrounding area. For a full list of active Florida craft distilleries, check out our Florida Distillery Directory. Whenever you can support local!

The Peach Schnapps: Check the back of your liquor cupboard. If you are like us, then you will probably find an old bottle of peach schnapps that you can dust off and use. If you don’t have any on hand, then pick some up at your local liquor store or get it delivered by Drizly. If you can find it, then we recommend using Doc Well’s Peach Schnapps as it is made right here in Florida.

The Mixers
The Juices: For this super bowl recipe, use your favorite juice from the store and feel free to use light versions to save on the calories but still deliver a great drink. Most of the orange juice that is available at the supermarket will be made from local Florida oranges, so pick whatever is on special. Our go to is typically Tropicana. Cranberries are not grown commercially in Florida, so you are going to have to go out of state for this ingredient, we typically use Ocean Spray.
Recommended Orange Juice: Tropicana 100% Orange Juice
Recommended Cranberry Juice: Ocean Spray Diet Cranberry Juice
Fresh Lemon Juice: While some lemons are grown here in Florida, the vast majority are farmed out west in California. If you can find local lemons at a farmers market, or you grow them in your garden, then great. If not you may have to make do with lemons from our Californian cousins. For this super bowl recipe you need to use freshly squeezed juice. Bottled lemon juice has that artificial taste that will ruin the cocktail. You can squeeze lemons with your hands, but this is messy and won’t yield as much juice. Buy yourself a citrus juicer, they are amazing. We use a Zulay citrus press which handles both lemons and limes with equally perfect results. Check out our full list of recommended bar equipment here.
Recommended Juicer: Zulay Premium Citrus Press
How Should I Serve This Tampa Bay Bucs Super Bowl Cocktail?
Shaken or Stirred: Any time you are making a cocktail that requires mixing fruit juices with liquor you always want to shake rather than stir. This ensures the cocktail is thoroughly mixed and ice cold. If you like to make drinks at home, then a good quality cocktail shaker is a necessity. Our favorite shaker is the beautifully designed patterned brass shaker from Absolut Elyx Boutique. You can get $15 off your first order by using this link. Check out our full list of recommended barware here.
Recommended cocktail shaker: ABSOLUT ELYX BOUTIQUE Brass Patterned Cocktail Shaker. (Use this link to get $15 off your first order)
The Garnish: Just like a classic Sex On The Beach cocktail, garnish this Cocktail with a maraschino cherry. As this is a Tampa Bay Buccaneers themed cocktail, we like to add a Bucs flag. To really dial up the pirate theme, we use a sword shaped cocktail stcik as the flag pole. There are plenty of affordable options on amazon.
