What Ingredients Do I Need To Make A Santa’s White Christmas Cocktail (Festive Espresso Martini)?

The Best Coffee For Your Festive Espresso Martini

Barnie's Coffee - Santa's White Christmas

Recommended Christmas Coffee: Santa’s White Christmas from Barnie’s Coffee

When it come’s to Christmas Coffee, it has to be Santa’s White Christmas from Barnies Coffee. A Florida staple, Barnies has been making delicious coffee blends since they opened their doors in Winter Park in the 1980’s. In 1995 they introduced their, now famous, Christmas Blend, Santa’s White Christmas. This warming rich blend includes notes of coconut, caramel and vanilla. Trust us, this stuff really is Christmas in a mug. We love  this Christmas Coffee so much that we had to make a cocktail in it’s honor!

How To Make Your Cold Brew Concentrate For Your Festive Espresso Martini

Rather than using Espresso, the Santa’s White Christmas Martini uses a homemade cold brew concentrate made using Santa’s White Christmas Blend from Barnies Coffee. Homemade cold brew concentrate is super easy to make at home and is great as a substitute for Espresso in an Espresso Martini, or just to have in the fridge to make your cold brew coffee with!

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  • Add coffee grounds to a jar and pour in the water. Stir well to combine.
  • Cover and allow to steep in the fridge for 12-24 hours.
  • Strain through a fine mesh sieve, lined with a coffee filter (or cheese cloth/muslin).
  • Once strained, transfer to an airtight container and store in the fridge for up to 1 week.

The Best Alcohol For Your Festive Espresso Martini

Monkey In Paradise Vodka

Recommended Vodka: Monkey In Paradise Vodka

Our favorite Vodka is the super smooth Monkey in Paradise Vodka. This amazing vodka is even more decorated than Santa’s Christmas Tree, having won numerous gold medals and awards. Made in Florida this craft vodka is distilled and carbon filtered 7 times making it one of the smoothest Vodkas on the market. It’s our go-to for any Vodka cocktail and is always our top choice for a Martini.

Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur

Recommended Coffee Liqueur: Kahlúa Coffee Liqueur

One of the key ingredients in any Espresso Martini recipe is coffee liqueur and Kahlúa is the best. Kahlúa was born in Mexico back in 1936 and is made using rum and 100% Arabica coffee beans. If you like coffee cocktails like the Espresso Martini, White Russian, or Mudslide then grab some Kahlúa for your bar cart.

Baileys Deliciously Light

Recommended Irish Cream: Baileys Deliciously Light

For our festive take on an Espresso Martini we add some Bailey’s Irish Cream to really dial up the creaminess and indulgence. If you haven’t tried it yet then we’d recommend Baileys Deliciously Light which has the same great Baileys taste, but with 40% less sugar and calories.

How Should I Serve A Santa’s White Christmas Cocktail (Festive Espresso Martini)?

The Glass: A martini or coupe glass is perfect for the this Christmas Cocktail, the key is to make sure you use a think stemmed glass. This type of glassware was designed specifically for chilled cocktails that are served straight up rather than over ice. The stem prevents your hand from warming up the drink meaning your festive cocktail stays chilled for longer.

Recommended coupe glass: LUMINARC Coupe Glass, Set of 4

Absolut Elyx Boutique Cocktail Shaker

Shaken or Stirred: To get that signature foam on the top of your festive Espresso Martini, this cocktail should be “shaken, not stirred”. Bonus tip; use larger ice cubes when shaking, this will make the drink foam more than if you use smaller ice cubes. We love the beautifully designed shakers from Absolut Elyx Boutique. The patterned brass designs are stunning and they are made to last. You can get $15 off your first order by using this link.

Straight up or on the rocks: Serve the Santa’s White Christmas Cocktail straight up. Whenever you’re serving drinks up we’d recommend that you chill your glass first by filling with ice and topping with cold water. When you’re ready to serve your festive cocktail, dump out the ice and strain your drink into your ice-cold glass.

The Garnish: The Santa’s White Christmas Cocktail wouldn’t be complete without a dusting of snow. Once you’ve poured your drink, sprinkle some powdered sugar over the top using a sieve.

We hope you enjoy your Santa’s White Christmas Cocktail. Drink safe and Merry Christmas!
