What Ingredients Do I Need To Make A Pumpkin Spice Daiquiri?
The Alcohol
The Rum: Rum makes up 50% of this daiquiri recipe, so it’s important that you use a good quality rum. You want to choose a white (or silver) rum, anything aged or spiced will be too bold and as a result the pumpkin spice notes of this fall version of a Daiquiri will be lost
Florida is known for it’s rum with plenty of fantastic rum distilleries, to choose from. Our favorites are Wicked Dolphin Distillery in Cape Coral, Siesta Key Distillery in Sarasota, and Steel Tie Distillery in West Palm Beach.

The Mixers
Fresh Lime: If you can find key limes at your local store then support local by buying them. If you can’t then use the more common persian lime. You will loose a touch of tartness and the slightly more floral notes you get from key limes, but they will still make a great Daiquiri.
If you use a lot of citrus juice at home, then buy a citrus press. It is a gamechanger. You get a lot more juice out of your lemons and limes, you don’t have to worry about seeds, and you cut down on the mess of squeezing with your hands. We use a Zulay citrus press which handles both lemons and limes with equally perfect results.

The Sweetener:
Our homemade Pumpkin Spice Simple Syrup is what makes this Daiquiri taste like fall in a glass. This simple syrup recipe is as easy as simmering ground canned pumpkin with baking spices, sugar and water. As well as using it in your fall cocktail recipes you can also use it to make a Pumpkin Spice Latte or even drizzle it over your pancakes.
How Should You Serve Your Pumpkin Spice Daiquiri?
The Glass: Daiquiris are best served in a coupe or martini glass. These styles of glass have thin stems and were designed for chilled cocktails that are served without ice. The stem prevents your hand from warming up the drink. We typically opt for a coupe glass.
Recommended coupe glass: LUMINARC Coupe Glass, Set of 4
Shaken or Stirred: For cocktail recipes that contain fruit juice and simple syrups you always want to shake them to ensure they are properly mixed, ice cold and refreshing.
If you need a new cocktail shaker our top recommendation is the beautifully designed shaker from Absolut Elyx Boutique. The patterned brass design is stunning. Even better, you can get $15 off your first order by using this link.

Straight up or on the rocks: Daiquiris should be served straight up. Just be sure to shake well and chill your glass first by filling your glass with ice and topping with cold water. Once you are ready to strain your cocktail, dump the ice out, and enjoy your cocktail ice-cold.
